CWA Local 2202 is now accepting applications for the 2009 Alfred E. Cunningham Memorial Scholarship.

The annual scholarship honors the legacy of the Local�s past president, Alfred "Al" Cunningham.

The scholarship, a $500.00 award, is available to all CWA Local 2202 members in good standing, their spouses or domestic partners and their children. Applicants must be at least high school graduates or high school students who will graduate during the academic year in which they apply. Second-year on and graduate students may also apply.

The award will be made payable to the institution of higher learning, which may be a university, a two-year or four-year college, a trade, technical, or a professional school.

The deadline for completed applications is Monday, July 13, 2009. The winner will be chosen by lottery at the July 13th General Membership meeting. Several alternates will be chosen in the event the winner declines or is deemed to be ineligible.

Applications may be submitted on-line via our web site at, http://www.cwa2202.org or members may complete the application form below and return it to the Union Office by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2009.
