now the City of New Orleans has plans for a golf course

The ILCA created a special web site which highlights the work of

various labor teams who went out into the community of New Orleans to

tell the story in an effort to let it be known that assistance is

still needed in the Gulf areas of this country.

And so are "threats" of fines/penalties from the govt if the resident

does not remove debris, cut grass, etc. or else fined $$ by the

day...WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?? (New Orleans, 10-2007)

community that rather than propose a solution for the residents,

ILCA Convention in New Orleans, LA created a Labor Media Center where

labor reporters & journalists could report on the devastation that

still exists 2 years later.  (10-2007)

Entire malls, schools, libraries, etc. remain in ruin as many of the

residents lives as they attempt to rebuild in New Orleans. (10-2007)
